It's my understanding that worms are written in VB or VBS. So if
I deleted or disabled windows scripting host along with disabling active scripting, would a worm ,as we know of today, be able to gain entrance to my pc?

Well, most worms are written in VB or VBS, but alot arnt, some are made in ASM, C, C++, etc. Some worms can also be in .MP* format, making it almost impossible to detect, almost all worms are binded with another program, ie. Game, Song, and so on. Scary thought eh? That "Village peope are gay.mp*" song might just be a worm, watch you :P

Thanks for the tip complx. So deleting scripting host,(which I did
a while back anyway for privacy reasons) would prevent worms
written in VB.
Here's something I just found that doesn't come as a surprise to me.
quote,
"the majority of these viruses target only Microsoft products. People not using Microsoft Outlook (or Outlook Express) for email and Microsoft Word for word processing could have sailed right through this last year without picking up any of the "headliner" email viruses. And folks not using Microsoft Windows wouldn't even have noticed them but for the hundreds of virus warnings being dispersed all over the Internet. "
