Supposely theres this thing called AIM Remix that will sign someone off AIM.

Is this true? And can you get in trouble by like the FBI doing that? lol

it's simply just sending a shitload of text thorugh AIM that the user crashes.

It dosen't harm their computer so there for it is legal n00b. All it is is ASCII characters that aren't on a character map, so when AIM tries to render it, it gets an error because someone dosen't know how to do error trapping. Personally, I never use AIM, yes I have an AIM address, but I use GAIM. Much better and it isn't built on the ramshackle AOL basis.

Also, if it is illegal, then what will happen. Honestley, the FBI dosen't care about Joe Spagettiio from Oklahoma being tossed off of AIM. They are concernded with the theft of things like, oh I don't know, lets try ***** and identies. And if it is illegal, then the site would be sued and/or shut down. Like Napster. The internet has a large ammount of censorship.

in the world of electronic crime logging someone off AIM is equivalent to J-walking. sure its proberbly illegal, but you tell me who gonna pull you for it?

and just cause you dont "harm" there computer doesnt mean it aint illegal, just look @ kevin mitnick, stealing source code doesnt exactly "harm" a network, nor dose storing files on another network.

just for accessing a server (no damage at all) because the admin cbf changing defult passwords still land you in trouble.

Stealing source code is stealing. Stealing is illegal from what I know.

You aren't harming the other person's computer and AIM Remixed is legal. Why???
Because all you do is send characters that can't be rendered by AIM. You take advantage of AOL. How is that illegal? It is AOL's error, so they would be at fault. You just happened to type characters that don't exist in AIM's character map.

From what I have heard, perfectly legal and legitamate.

Aim remix is pretty cool. You can warn people as much as you want. There is onlt one problem, Sometimes one of your sns wont sign on with it. But i still like it!

well it crashes AIm but pple dont pay for aim so its legal and i think the admin version of it is super strong but i never used it so can anyone hook me up

by the way he isnt stronger he just has authorities on this website
