What a shame ... I wonder why. Was it owned by a government agency, and the masters told them to shut down? Can't believe it was due to financial difficulties, they had virtually no competitors, everyone who wanted real anonymity and privacy didn't have a better choice than Freedom.net.
I'm sure that sooner or later another company (or even several companies) will come up with a similar system. Hopefully these companies will be located in different countries, so that no government could finish our freedom with just one stroke.
