Damn Telnet

Basically, i cant telnet into another pc on the local network via the default port of 2* (yes, this port has been opened on the firewall"

Its rather strange as i can access nother pc's via telnet quite simply via this "faulty" pc.

There are 2 pc's on the network (the are not fully networkes, just on the adsl routers one)

i can access one from another but no the other way round. tried dissabling all firewalls to check and still nothing, just the usuall error when it cant connect to a certain port.

i use telnet.exe on XP Home (nice and simple)

Yeah try to connect to a different port like port 80 (http) or 25 (smtp).

problem fixed,

it wasent a port issue... but the problem has been resolved.
