Is there any proxy which is truly anonymous? ie. which does'nt ever log ur ipaddress? If so please gimme * or 2 (preferrably with 8080 port).
Most of the proxies I tried still showed the real domain name and its ip on the java test on a site recommended for testing a proxy in one of the earlier posts, I am looking for the best ones which would'nt show that either. Thanks alot.

There is no test to determine if proxy server logs your IP address. If proxy sends your IP to remote host, which can be tested, then it is not anon.

You will need to test each proxy yourself. http://www.stilllistener.addr.com/checkpoint*/index.shtml A proxy that is anon today may not be tomorrow. Before testing and using proxy disable ActiveX, Java, and Javascript in your browser otherwise remote host may get your true IP and other info about your PC. http://www.cyscape.com/ Click [more] at top of page or http://www.gemal.dk/browserspy/

Hi! I went to the link, cyscape, that Blacksheep gave. It gave inaccurate readings, calling my Browser Netscape (wrong) and AOL/AOL version as "false" and 0. Both wrong as I indeed use AOL.

It did get my IP right though. Big deal, I'm not using a proxy.

No reflection on you, Blacksheep!

BrowserHawk gets my browser and other info wrong only when I modify my HTTP requests. I dunno about AOHell.

I should hope not. I didn't write BrowserHawk.

Try BrowserSpy http://www.gemal.dk/browserspy/
