How do the moderators and administrators on forums see your IP?

generally the option is built into the forum software. Its simple enough to get that info as the forum is on the server and the server knows whos who, where and when. They know its you by your username in the database, which basilly says... ok, this IP logged into this username at this time and went to these pages for this long and depending on their log software they should also be able to tell what browser your using, what resolution, and from your IP, your ISP, etc.
