how to unlock msn messenger at school

my school have msn messenger 7 installed but when i try to click on it it says restriced is there any way to unlock msn 7 so i can log in at school.

ok if u have a computer at ur house then save ur schools reg and edit at ur house so change the key of the messenger then take the floppy bak at the school and boot the reg from the floopy and then u can do watever u want :D

The messenger is either being blocked one of two ways:
*. Firewall blocks the default messenger port.
2. Active Directory blocks the application name and or proccesses associated with the application name.

Solutions:
*. Change the connection port.
2. Change the name of the application & run. (If it is a proccess that is blocked then your SOL)

You can always change to GAIM the multi protocol IM from sourceforge.

Not so fancy but it give me a reliable connection via my CS Scheme
