First of all, there is no way to simply generate CVV codes. It is very simple to generate valid credit card numbers (the algorithm is even on Wikipedia), but it is impossible to generate CVV numbers. They are written on the back of each credit card.

Of course, it is possible to obtain valid credit card and CVV numbers if you get them directly from the victim. This can be done through phishing.

However, it is IMPOSSIBLE to obtain credit card and CVV numbers by compromising web based shop databases. Let me refer you to Wikipedia for proof of this:



Online merchants who require the CVV2 in their transactions are forbidden from storing these details once the transaction is complete. This way, if a database of transactions is compromised, the CVV2 is not included, and the stolen credit card numbers are less useful.
