What is the correct syntax to use multiple proxies from within IE? If I want to go through * proxies, how do I type that in? I know it's possible, I just don't remember how, and can seem to find the information telling me how.

Thanks.

How to use: it seems that different proxies can be chained in different methods, but most Proxies can be chained by separating their addresses with -_-. E.g.: http://proxy.spaceproxy.com/-_-http://anon.free.anonymizer.com:80/http://www.securitywriters.org.

you can find more info at:

In the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, IE 6.0, proxy chaining doesn't work. There is not fix for this problem.

yes, i think i will have to use that. i just would rather do it myself like i use to do in older versions of IE. is there a way to do it manually in Netscape?

errrrrrmmmmmm... multiproxy doesn't chain proxies, only lets you choose what to use

You may or may not find this software to your likeing. My experience has been people love it or don't. It is not very "novice" friendly.

by router im guessing u mean a nat/firewall box prolly running one of the tailored linux distros for such a purpose or similar.

the proxy uses a different port than http(80) which traffic is probably setup by default to be allowed in through, hence open up the port on your router box that the proxy uses.

a tutorial on how you can simple go through multiple proxies (increased anonimity) with the basic web browser
http://www.astalavista.com/privacy/library/misc/chaining.shtml

now u could use the telnet method proposed within this tutorial and there are some others

i didn't realise they blocked it from IE 6 mind u i haven't tried in awhile cause it's easier to use multiproxy.org
