I have had a forum set up for over a year now, and just recently, one of my more annoying members seems to have broken into my account (he didn't get the password from me, I've told no one) and has stripped me of my position as administrator. Is there anyway that I can get my position back, such as getting the password he uses? I have no access to his computer, and I cannot directly link to his.
Thanks for any help.
Edit: Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I'm just really flustered, please try to understand my position... :)

Go into phpMyAdmin on your web hosting control panel, delete his account and set yours as administrator.

I would love to, but he made himself root admin and deleted my account, as well as IP banned me from the site. I can't access the admin cp, and even if I could, I have no account to do so.

You need to go to your web hosting account.
They use phpMyAdmin to manage the SQL databases. Find the one with the users of your forum and delete the fake root admin, then make another root admin (you).
But if you dont have access to the web host, I don't think we can really hellp you.

Yeah, on PHPBB for example there's a table on the database called phpbb_users; in there you can tweak user settings or remove users if you need to. You could find the row of his account and set it back to the level of a regular member or something.
