hi, i know ip adress of a system,
can i browse through his hard disk from another sysytem?

As already stated above, the answer is no, you cannot use IP address to browse hard drive of any system. However, IP address is the location of the computer and gives you something to start working with.
You will be able to find different things depending on what operating system the remote system is running.

step *: OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM OWNER OF MACHINE BEFORE CONTINUING

step 2: google for something that will allow you to find out what services are running on remote machine.

What I would s***est is this: get an old machine and install whatever operating system you want to work with on it. Set up a network and then play....that way you don't risk getting into any trouble and you can learn alot.
