Scan Harddrive

sorry if this is under wrong thread, and I did google it first, but to no avail. So I was wondering what is required to scan a hard drive inside one computer (infected comp) with another computer (clean one).

probably not the best worded question but thanks anywho.

Plug the infected hard drive into the new machine and perform a scan.

Boot into a live CD with an antivirus application and scan from there.

Share the root of the entire hard drive over the network, then get your clean PC to scan all the files.


Those are all the ideas I can think of right now.
