Since upgrading ISP service, have noticed that ISP is able to override security settings for "cookies". Persistent cookies are found on C drive and temp. internet files (that should empty out after browsing - also, persistent cookies are disabled, while session cookies are enabled). How does ISP do this and why? In checking "properties", these are, indeed, cookies. Expiration dates as far ahead as three years!!!!
Also, don't like other moderators making rude comments about our forum, but has anyone else here noticed an increase of activity on port 137 (netbios) in Firewall logs? Would be interested in knowing the thoughts re: this from expert forum members. What is this activity leading up to if anything?
Also, if folks have the time, is it true that you can put ad sites like doubleclick in "restricted sites" with high settings and although cookies have been set on hard drive, you can "spoil their fun" by doing this because although cookies are placed, "they" can't access them to "read" them. As usual. read about it in an article, but don't believe everything I read :-). Best regards to the Forum. "d"
