I tried it out, but there was a problem with #*. I couldn't hold myself up between the walls and write at the same time.

But... You're a ninja! Ninjas can do all this and more.

You could write with a pen in your mouth, or have a videocam taped to your head.

Okay, it's time for instructions #2 (thug-style):

Infiltrate your contact's house, dressed in thug apparel.
Find two perpendicular walls in their room, then smash them with your baseball bat.
Punch your contact in the face.
Drag them from their c****, then read the conversations yourself.
Toss some thermite in their computer's case, then ignite.
The victim should wake up with a smouldering computer, and you should know their conversations. Alternatively, you could have used too much thermite and it could have burned the whole house down (including you and the contact).
