hi guys. great forums. most informative so far i ve seen.

as the title of my thread says, do you guys know of any free Excel / Word / Microsoft office application password cracker?

i ve done alot of googling and all i could find are trial versions that will crack upto * small letters only (no numbers combinations...etc). and which i need to purchase the pro copy (buy).

according to my info, there s nothing wrong to ask about this cause its something legal. the only thing is i dont want to buy one. i am looking for one that is free.

appreciate it if you could help.

Noodles.

Mmm, I did one myself a loooong time ago, if memory serves, I used VBA to do it.

If I can dig it out, I'll upload it somewhere,

i know this thread is slightly old, but its not like its a long thread list and you can download the full MS Office off Mininova (http://www.mininova.org) and use BitLord (http://www.bitlord.com/) or UTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/) to download it as they have fast download rates.

I've seen people KGB versions of Microsoft Office to small sizes as small as *.4 MB, and you can download them without having to use torrents. The downside is that it takes hours to un-KGB them. But hey, according to the time-space memory tradeoff rule, you don't get something for nothing :)

Gridlock's torrent idea isn't bad, but sometimes (especially if your at a company setting) firewalls can slow down BitTorrent and other torrent clients to a crawl, making downloading torrents unbearable.
