Does anybody know a good place to download Active Undelete v 5.5 Professional----free? I also don't want to sign up for anything AT ALL, it shouldn't have a virus, and I absolutely DO NOT WANT .RAR type!!!!! Basically, I'm asking the community in general to extract Active Undelete v5.5 Professional from the several .rar on the net, put them in a .tar.gz file, and host it on a good, safe, well-known site. Also, I'd like it if somebody would confirm that it is NOT a virus/security risk, as I know many people on this forum are up to that level of programming. It really doesn't require too much knowledge to blow up a computer, yet it takes quite a bit to fix it.

Note to Mods/Admins: If this is inappropiate and/or against the forum rules, please delete. This was made in a desperate attempt, not quite a mandatory thing.

Note to teknicalissue: This is what your batch programming did! I tested it out. ;) Nice. I'm desperate already, so lol, but I can manage. Somebody can revive it with the right stuff though.

Note to everyone else: This is the handiwork of teknicalissue's batch work, and it works fine, and well. I took up the challenge of trying to revive a computer which was screwed by his batch-in-exe file. Also, I didn't have much stuff to work with, as well as no XP installation disk... And most of all, my computer was already messed up. THIS IS THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE PEOPLE!! YOU HAVE TO TRY IT, IT'S THRILLING TO SCREW UP YOUR COMPUTER WITH NO WAY OF FIXING IT! :D

Okay, now here's the recommended websites to upload a .tar.gz of the ISO file from Active Undelete 5.5 Professional:

rapidshare
megaupload
filefront

Sorry, but I'm choosy because if I get a virus, my computer will be completely screwed over.

P.S. As I know many people will be asking why I'm using a computer right now when it's unbootable, it's because I have an old CD with a bootable trial version type of a linux-ish OS.

Yeah, it's possible to fix up your computer after you open the door for the killer batch. Yes, it does require software that can self-boot. However, I don't really need a reversing batch. Even with a reversing batch file vs. the killer batch, I don't think you can recover files through batch.

So, all in all, you need a recovery system that has to include something similar to explorer.exe, or some such file browser. That recovery also must be self-booting, such as an ISO.

To teknicalissue:As mentioned above, I don't think you can recover deleted files through batch. I recommend that you update your killer batch to include some sort of portable secure erase software, so that you can permanently erase system files. (If you can do that kind of stuff with batch)

To Rifts:Stop posting porn. That was in no way helpful, as well being inappropriate.

well i could have used my explorer.exe and stuff and made a "cure" for the batch files using my files. and yes i belive that you can still run my .exe's through a ms-dos/recovery console enviroment so the cure will work fine if you can initiate it

Well, that may be true, but one fact yet remains--- my files will be moderated and/or changed to be accustomed to my specific computer, hence your files will be different from mine. If through further research you are sure that all of the files modified by your batch are indeed never changed through a regular basis, sure, I'll take a cure. However, you must be COMPLETELY sure that the files changed by your batch is not EVER changed by anything--and if it is supposed to be changed, then what it is changed by. That way I can be sure it will fit my purposes...

Now, since you're so keen on curing this so that the ultimate challenge is completed, how about if you get me that active undelete v5.5 professional, eh? If it does what it's supposed to, then my computer will be entirely fixed, and then I can spread your tutorial + a cure over the internet.(with all ******s to you of course ;) )

Post both of those, if obtainable and appropriate, on megaupload or somewhere... I'll download both and try them. Active Undelete goes first, but I'll keep the "cure" batch as a backup. 2nd last resort. :p

P.S. You should rename your "killer batch" to "cancer batch" if we find the cure, and then name the cure "radiation batch", lol :D .

File undelete (http://www.fileundelete.net) might help you. It has the most powerful algorithm available. This tool saved me some time before so you can give it a try. Really recommended.;)
