Need Location of an IP

Hey, over the past while i have been friends with someone on WoW who claims to be a girl, now, this person has sent pictures (easy to fake) but i have never heard this persons voice.

Is there any way i could use the persons IP address to get a rough location of where they live? 'she' says she lives in malmo sweden, but various whois's ive done have ended up saying Stockholm.

Any Whois service will show you pretty much the same, though. It's quote probable that a nation-wide ISP has the HQ in Stockholm, while its users are scattered all over Sweden. It's like with AOL. All AOL IP addresses point to Virginia, while in reality the user may well be calling from California.

Yes now it is possible to find a person's location using their ip address or domain name. As the result it shows the ISP, location, country, latitude and longitude. I would s***est you the site http://www.ip-details.com/ip-search/ they provide all these details of an ip address.

You could use http://www.whatismyip.com/ip-tools/ip-address-lookup/ to check the person's IP location. But if she is using a proxy server, you will not detect her real location.
