Tracerout

..Im kinda new to the network tools and Im not sure what exactly this "Tracerout" does for me..:(..What is it for?And what does it try to show me:)

tracert or traceroute essenstially show us the path through which the packets from the destination ip to our ip. It aslo gives us a few more details such as the time in milli seconds for the packet to travell from one point to another.
