How come I can't send email under an anonymous proxy?

When I try to send email under my anonymous proxy, an error message occurs...how come?

You may get an error message if the proxy is in another country. If you are trying to send email, you could access an anon remailer, but if you want an email reply you'll have to tell the recipient who you are and where to send the reply.

*. The proxy does not support the 'CONNECT' mode
2. The proxy does not support the tunneling mode to port 25 (SMTP)
*. The Destination SMTP rejected the proxy (banned proxy)
4. You did not set up properly your Email client
(btw, what CLient are you using to send email under my anonymous proxy ?)

adding to what fever said, it also may be because the proxy might not be willing to store the cookie send by the mail server, on the clients behalf.

Like in ANY TCP/IP connection, SMTP is a SERVER/Client protocol.
The Client is the program that you (as a user) are using to connect to the Server.
When it comes to Emails, a Client could be (The bat, Eudora, Outlook...) or Eventually a WEB based Client like your (Hotmail, MSN, yahoo...)
account.

The first thing to do if you need to use a proxy is to make sure that your Client can be configured for proxy settings. This is where you need to enter the proxy address and port.

Now your Client will call the proxy, and the proxy is supposed to call the destination.. but:
*. If the proxy is NOT configured to call port 25, the proxy reject your request.
2. If the proxy is NOT configured to accept the 'CONNECT' mode, he will reject your request.
*. Even if the proxy accepted your request and called port 25, if the destination SMTP server discovers that the caller is a proxy and that particular proxy was banned, your connection will fail..

Can you recommend some fast anonymous proxies or links where I can find such proxies that will support all the stuff you had mentioned earlier?

..and how would I would know whether my web clent server supports port 25 or not? There's no where in the mail option section that will allow me to make such changes.

Haven't you mentioned this guy doesn't supply you with any info on his problem, he only needs to get answers... In this case I would s***est not to answer his questions, 'cause it's obvious this guy haven't read a page on this topic. My recommendation - read help!!!

*. What e-mail clent do you use?
4. Do you have any antivirus installed on your PC?
