Higly Anonymous Proxy
I used a listed highly anonymous proxy to surf the net and play games. I checked that proxy with the All-Net Tools and indeed found that it was anonymus. However, when I tried to play a backgammon game at the FIBS site, the site still returned my actual IP address upon a 'whois' command. How is this possible ? Is there anyway of hiding my true IP address, for security, at that backgammon site.

Yes
Yes there is. Telnet is your answer. Its allready on your computer. Click run then type telnet. A black box will come up. Here is what it will look like.
---------------------------------------------------------
Welcome To Microsoft Telnet Client.
Escape character is ctrl+]'
Microsoft Telnet>
------------------------------------------------------
Then you type this
---------------------------------------------------------------
welcome to Microsoft Telnet Client.
Escape character is ctrl+]'
Microsoft Telnet> o ipaddresshere 80
---------------------------------------------------------------
of corse change the "ipaddresshere" to a real ip address.Wait till it connects. When it connects you will be surfing under his ip address. You can use this for a lot of things apart from port 80 (htttp)

My telnet
I can enter telnet either from start>run or msdos. But in either way, I do not get the Microsoft Telnet > command line and cursor. I get a telnet page with (no host), fixed cursor (not blinking), and "remote system" in Connect, which enables me to enter the hosts listed. So, how can I specify an IP address with such a telnet system?
