Help on inserting?

I've read alot of what the forums here say and it's all good information, im somewhat familiar with telnet and ftp, but i was wondering if anyone can contact me with details on how to plant a key logger (with an email log) on a computer..that doesn't have an ftp client, and that i cant directly access.

Like for i instance my brother and i are playing with some of this stuff to get more experienced and im tring to plant a key logger onto his comp (with an email log) that doesn't have an ftp client.

also anyone know any good port scanners?

The best port scanner in my opinion is nmap, it has lots of features and is quick to scan ports.
