It depends who you are trying to hide it from. Hiding it from something/someone on your network is pretty hard. Hiding it from an internet server can be done with a proxy/anonymizer or something called Tor.

Best thing to hide your IP would be to use VPN/proxy service like HIDE-MY-IP. You can choose what IP you want and from what country it would appear to be. It's a really useful tool...
