Best Firewalls

In my opinion, the fire wall ZONEALARM (www.zonelabs.com) is the best firewall. It basically asks you if you want any program, even windows to communicate with the internet or your server. It also has internet lock, so if i have a hacker come at me, i can disable all internet communications. It passed Leaktest (freeware www.grc.com) with flying colors. Then, i took another pc and tried to communicate with my pc. it wouldent let me. Nothing gets in, or out. And, its free! (the upgrades cost *****)

The worst firewall is black ice defender. it cost me forty bucks, and it was unable to pass leaktest, and it didnt bounce pings, and it let my other pc communicate. (AND IT COST ME 40 BUCKS!!)

Zone Alarm is one of the most inefficient software firewalls out there. It not only interferes with running processes causing your computer to become unstable, but also is thought to be a spy ware program. Norton also fails to productively block malicious programs from running without creating an unstable environment. ItR*7;s a great virus scanner, but donR*7;t use it as a firewall.

It does a GREAT job at protecting you. Many users run into problems with the outbound protection. I'm sure they work these kinks out in updates. Unless you understand how Zone Alarm works it can be a pain for the everday computer user. They accidently block Iexplore.exe aim.exe etc... and think the computer is broken.

What I meant to say in my previous post was this:

If are computer savy, Zone Alarm is great for you!

If you are not computer savy, Zone Alarm can be a major pain.
