    Access of C:

    Hellow

    how can i access the c drive in Ms dos mode. when the file system is NTFS.

    umm...go to the command prompt and you probably are already there. If not:
    C:

    or:
    maybe cd.. back to the main dir, which is probably C.

    Be more specific, this seems pretty simple so maybe Im not getting your question.

    actually i want to break the PAss word of Win XP. the method which i know is that

    copy c:/windows/repair c:/windows/system*2/config

    in this way i over write only SAM file not all others.
    But i is done only when file system of C drive is Fat.

    if the file system is NTFS then when i use the command
    C:\dir then it shows the files of D drive not C.

    How can i get C drive when file system is NTFS. and also i am trying to change the file system by using the command
    convert c: /FS:NTFS convert c: /NTFS:fS
    but error occured "bad command and file name"
