    Angry proxy configuration help

I went through the steps to configure IE 5 for a proxy (tools, internet options, connections, lan settings, clicked proxy server and typed the address and port. I clicked advanced and saw all protocals with the proxy address. The problem is when I check my proxy to see if it is anonymous, I get the message "proxy server not detected", BUT it shown my regular IP NOT the proxy address. Any ideas on why the configuration won't take?

    anon proxy

    Hi tay,

Maybe proxy you are using is not anonymous, i.e. is forwarding your true IP, and/or you have Java, scripting, ActiveX enabled in your browser. Try some more proxies. Let us know if you get it fixed.

I'm not an IE guy myself, but I think you set up your proxy from:
"Dial up settings", "Settings...", "Proxy server".

    Yes...? No...?

    Just my two bits.
