I got up to *0:

http://www.freestuffhotdeals.com/hacker/oct.html

I'm sure i'll figure out how to get past there later.

Where did everyone else get to?

I got up to ** {http://www.freestuffhotdeals.com/hacker/*6*.html}

..and got stuck. I don't think thats the end but I didn't get past that level. By this I mean getting the answer right first time. I thought on this level the answer would be: white...but it wasn't

I got to #*5 (http://www.freestuffhotdeals.com/hacker/quince.html) but I'm sort of stuck there

EDIT: Ok, I just finished it! I was stuck on *5 because I was researching Pat Buchanan for a very long time before I realised which one it was refering to. They were all pretty easy after that

Well I got past *0 soon after posting...

(To *2*456)

I also got stuck on ** for while.

Here's a hint: the answer is not related to the color black - look more closely at the page. And use your cursor.

(To tocksarcle)

I'm currently at *6. Use google to find out who the most famous 'Buchanan' was, then find the *6th one of those...

EDIT: Now at *8. I'm just too good... I guess knowing how to count in binary helps.

EDIT 2: Now at 22. I kind of cheated at the ojofuffo one (when googling for the word saw something which contained the solution), but I figured out the rest of them. I challenge anyone to beat what i'm up to.

EDIT *: Haha, I just completed it at 2*.

Who is going to be the second to finish?

second.
I too had some issues with ojofuffo but figured it out w/o googling since I didnt want a spoiler... I think it would have been cooler doing it from a qwerty standpoint, but w/e.

If you like this kind of thing, I s***est:
http://thisisnotporn.com/

kinda creepy, but fun.

Abandon hope, all ye who enter here. =p
Dont feel bad, this isnt anywhere near as easy as the other one.

you have to answer the question posed in the js onclick popup....

http://www.thisisnotporn.com/not/not.htm

how I got that:
clue was:
cut cut and cut
x.x.x
x/x/x
thisisnotporn/x/x
thisisnotporn/yes/yes.htm(l)
thisisnotporn/no/no.htm(l)
etc
until I got to not/not.htm and recognized the 2nd page.

yeah, I know... _not_ so obvious.

Apparently the site has made some changes since I last was doing it...I never made it to the end anyway.

level 2 clue:
view source.. and the clue is in the format, not the source itself. Lets just say you need to look at it in a different way... barely readable.

edit: note: Im quite a bit in and apparently there are different paths... so now Im going back to see if I screwed upo somehow or missed something, some of the pages have been making refrences to me going the wrong way I think and reference clues from previous pages. Dammit, I have a feeling Im gonna spend another few months with this again.
