Real catch 22 situation, i desperattely want something removed from google :(

It's one individual page that I want removing from google, it's always coming up at the TOP of the search results & it contains information about me that I don;t want online.

Google wont remove this for me, or will the site admins & I'm in a nasty catch 22 situation.

If only google would respect peoples privacy, however it's only one article/page that I want removing from the WWW for good.

Can someone do this for me?, of course they will be rewarded.

All i want is this one page removing from google (& other search engines (however it's google really that only results this high).

I'#ve tried for almost a year now constantly mailing google only to be told "No the web******s have to do it" & the web****** saying "No we don't really remove articles" , so leaves me pretty hurt about it.

I just want this ONE page removing please if anyone would be kind enough to help get this from the net, or at least from the search results.

I will keep an eye on this thread & big thanks to anyone who kindly does this.

I wouldn't usually reccomend this but the people seem to be so careless & mean, I don;t know any other way to help get this removed (so if anyone has any ideas)

It means a great deal & thank you.

You want us to hack google?

Ridiculous.
1. If you remove a website from google, there are many other search engines.

2. Why would we risk doing something illegal for you? What have you done for us?

People are just getting stupider. The only thing I can say that may help you is, you could spoof an email from the web****** to google - asking for the page to be removed.

Some ideas...

Try these;

*. Ask thier web host to remove the page, (this will probably won't work unless the offending page is really really really invading your privacy). If they won't remove it they may contact the sites owner for you requesting that the webpage be changed.

2. Instead of offering us an award, bribe the person who owns the site. Surely they will remove anything if the price is right.

Or, if you're really desperate;

*. Try getting that site banned from google. Here are google's rules, search the site to see if they are breaking any of these rules.

* Avoid hidden text or hidden links.
* Don't employ cloaking or sneaky redirects.
* Don't send automated queries to Google.
* Don't load pages with irrelevant words.
* Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
* Don't create pages that install viruses, trojans, or other badware.
* Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.
* If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.
If the site contains a forum, or you can add comments, try adding you own hidden links to thier site. When the bot crawl thier site again it will notice the hidden links and may ban the site, (or more likely- move the site futher down the search results)

Here's an example of a hidden link using one clear pixel.

<a href="linkpage.html"><img src="clearpixel.gif" border="0"></a>
Try linking to a page that is already banned from google, if you can find any.

Don't be stupid by thinking google will censor the web for you, they won't remove sites only because you don't like what's written on them.

Well since Google controls listings, they're the point you would have to access if you wanted to directly remove the offending page.

But I'll now elaborate on a what I said before, and offer another alternative.
• You said Google only will remove the page if the web****** tells them to remove it. Why not just send an email from his address asking for it to be removed, thus impersonating him? Doing so is very easy.

• Another alternative is Google bombing - basically creating your own web page and spamming links to it with keywords designed to rank it higher than the original website. If you do this, you can push the other site sufficiently down Google's rankings. It would probably be easy to pay for bots to spam to various forums on the internet - they seem to do well enough to flood this site's advertising section.

• Or, you could just flood the shit out of the site and eat up its bandwidth for the month; repeat for rest of internet's existence.

• And lastly, you could simply steal the site's domain name and redirect it to *27.0.0.* or similar.

Wow you guys are very clever & I thank you all kindly for helping me with this, Im sure that unless you've been in this situation it's hard to understand how it feels, however I'm thankful to all who have kindly added some support.

I've had a read through the things written here & it's difficult really to do, however this one seemed to catch my eye & the best.

However, won't they just give the instructions same as theone thats written on the google help page in regards to how to remove search results from google.

Google bombing sounded good as well, however all these s***estions are hard for me as I'm not really all that high tech in regards to computers etc... so it's difficult.

Please know I sincerely appreciate everyone's help here as I really do want this removing or at least pushing far far back if anything.

Thanks in advance to all, seriously.

I don't know, maybe you could ask them to remove it manually? I'm sure you can think of some reason as to why you can't do it yourself.

No, I meant you should spoof an email address actually from the target website's admin.

Even if the page is removed manually, google will probably have it cached.
Just wanted to add some hell to this discussion.

Along with Yahoo, Ask, all the other search engines, and archive.org.

What do we learn from this? Don't publish anything personal on the web and expect it to stay private. Don't even trust people you know with personal information if you suspect they will betray that trust. Once humiliating material hits the web, it tends to spread a lot until there's no one point you can shut down to prevent people seeing whatever it may be.
