How can i somehow hack this game...

One of my hacking guru friends said that this is server-side, so it is very hard to do...

he used some javascript editor, went thought like a **856*8256 folders , and found the right folder.

He was able to edit the amount of "Gold" (game's version of *****"), but couldnt save it...

Can Someone help me?
