    Smile Fao: Hackers

Hi, I have a problem.. someone has been emailing a friend of mine on Hi5 (it's a website in which people can view each others profiles and email/add them as friend etc).. and has left some abusive emails.. is there any way in which my friend can obtain the abusers IP address and find out the location from where the email was sent as he already has a few people he suspects and just needs to find out exactly where the email came from and job done.

he has the emails they sent on the website stored.. so is there ne way he can find the above out ? thank you for your help

You need a cooler Firefox theme.

    lol.. thanks!

but i read on that thread.. you have to have a link to the other pc.. i.e. sending a file

but in this case.. the persons sent the message through a website.. so its like someone sending you an email.. so is the link not broken ?

    i dunno..

He could probably find the IP address from email headers, as has been said many times here.

If the email was sent from the servers of this website (and not his machine) however, forget it. They don't share user information unless the user wants it shared.

Also, as has been said many times in the big IP address thread, you can't get someone's location from their IP address. Just the location of their ISP.

You need a cooler Firefox theme.
I've got some others, but they don't really integrate with the rest of the OS theme. Got any recommendations?

Looks suitably badass, but my OS theme is blue, so kind of clashes.
