Official Leaving Thread

This is the thread to list all the people that are leaving; perhaps for a short period or forever.
• SyntaX******
• Moonbat
• Troll
• mike*5*

I am leaving because I need to sort my life out and this forum comes really low in my current priorities. I can't elaborate much more because I'm kind of drunk (yup, sorting out my life), and I just don't want to.

Moonbat, Troll and Syntax's announcements made me think about things, and leaving is my conclusion. I have way too many obligations to spend time on internet forums, for the moment.

Thus, I propose that we all meet on this forum in exactly three months, starting tomorrow. That's January 2*st, 2007 @ 22:20 GMT -- note it down in your diary [if you have one...].

In one day (October 2*st, 2007 @ 22:20 GMT ), I propose that we all leave and don't even occasionally come back to check on things (until the final date in January). Before that time tomorrow, we can leave our final messages in this thread (or the other), or whatever you want to do.

I advise us all to clear out our PM inboxes/sent messages, so there will hopefully be enough room for * months' worth of PMs.

At that date, we'll discuss things and some may decide to leave forever, or perhaps some may decide to be regulars again. Who knows? I haven't decided yet whether to leave forever.

Do I sense a bit of sentimental-ness in your post, mike?

Yeah, well, I guess everyone has bigger dreams ahead of them. I for one am trying to become more of a computer person than a hacker. Hacking is something you do in your younger years, in my opinion. One day we'll all look back at times when we 'owned' servers and 'hacked' sites and just laugh.

SyntaX posted a while ago here that he was going to leave the forums once again. He hasn't logged on since October *th, so I'm guessing he's sticking to his word.

With SyntaX, me, and you leaving, that means there will be no (active) mods around. I probably will have to come at least once every week to clear up spam, but I wouldn't mind. After all I didn't get this mod title for the looks. I see this forum more as my duty to help the less computer-savvy of the Internet. If every computer hacker/enthusiast ignored noobs, well, I dunno what'd happen, but it wouldn't be good. Someone has to help the noobs, because nobody helped me. That being said, I cannot abandon these forums fully, but I do need my own time to expand my knowledge.

Well, SyntaX, me, you, and Troll are leaving. These forums will become a hell-hole of spam and general stupidity once again. So like I said, I'll have to visit here at least once a week to keep it in check. So I won't be able to follow your idea, mike. But I will try to come on January 20th and join in on all the reminiscing.

Okay, well I'll make the "no checking back" thing a personal rule -- everyone else can do what they want.

Just remember to all be back here in January .

Hey Eastern province man from Saudi Arabia,

It is clear "Saudi Man" is just an idiot who happens to be Saudi.

Lots of love,

Somewhat strangely, I've decided to stick around here indefinitely.

Why? Someone two metres away from me found my online alias(es) and started reading what I was writing. I wanted to leave because I don't want people I know spying on what I write online.

However, we've come to the agreement that he'll respect my privacy (like I respect his) and not go looking for my posts any more. To be honest I don't give a shit if people read my posts -- I'm more honest now and it doesn't bother me if people find out whatever secrets I may have.

I might be a little less frequent and a bit different on here (since my brother might be reading every word I write), but I'll be here nonetheless.

It's a lot easier to vent whatever's on your mind on the internet when nobody you know will ever read it, but I will try. It probably won't come to that though, due to our agreement.

Hi again people.
