help with sharing folders !!
hey guys .. i have some shared files on my PC and have a WorkGroup in my net cafe so i want to make the files as a read-only nd i dont want to let them copy my files.. is there any way to do dat?
regards.
thanks gordo ..but i didn't really understand what should i do .. is that (RMS)
a program for protecting some kind of files from editing , copying and stuff.
i have alot of music files that i'm planning to sell them by listening to them without copying them..
so
is there any way to do that..or there isn't as u said before?
thanks again.. i appreciate it.
no sir .. what i meant before that i have music on my pc and i edited them as shared for others.. but i don't want anyone to copy them ...
i wish to allow them to listen but disallow them to copy them..( so i can sell them).

Probably not, if they can read them, they can copy them. However.... Microsoft's "Windows Rights Management Services" (RMS) is an
option for documents and e-mails produced by Microsoft Office
2003 Professional (a pretty "heavy" solution though):

Listening to them without copying them...?
Your computer has to download music files to read from them.Who needs drugs when you have electrons?

Now you may understand what Sony http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Sony_BMG_CD_copy_protection_scandal
and the music industry are going through trying to prevent pirating their music. How the artists and companies make their money is through music sales, and pirating cuts profits.
