    Logs Kept?

One thing I've been wondering for a while is do proxy servers keep detailed logs of users - effectively enough for someone to be traced - and if they do then what sort of time periods are they kept for.

I'm not sure whether they legally have to keep logs - and for how long.

Logs are generally kept. I don't really see how they could not keep logs. It only makes since. You cause an action to take place on a computer system....it is going to be stored somewhere. Whether it be on your computer or at the ISP. Now, how long are the logs kept? I don't know. Just depends on the Company. ANONYMIZER keep their logs for 48 hours and then they are destroyed. I think I remember reading that on their website. But yeah, it just depends on the Company.
