Work Firewall

I can use MSN Messenger at work.
But I cannot send files or use Netmeeting.

I cannot use *** either or MSN games.

Information regarding what kind of proxy/firewall or what ports I might be able to use is not available to me as I have no legitimate justification for asking.

How can I find out on my own without drawing attention to myself?
