plz chechked it,i use the comand

shutdown -s -t 00 -m \\host name

shutdown /s /m \\ComputerName

You will need access to the other computer. On the comp you wish to access;
*Double-click on My Computer.
StepRight-click on icons of drives to be shared by network users.
Step*Click Properties.
Step4Click Share As. Enter the appropriate information.

If the other comp has a firewall, you will need to add YOUR comp to the trusted zone/allow it access.

You probably need administrator rights on the other machine. It looks like xp home is somewhat difficult to shutdown remotely. You may need to use a third party software. [url]http://snipurl.com/*6gpd[/url]
Or try start/all programs/accessories/Remote desktop connection.

pls help me i cant shutdown my remote computer. i'm using win xp pro.i can view all pc in my workgroup. my setting is automatic IP. i have DSL connection my dsl modem is connected to my switch and my computers are connected to switch.is there something wrong with my network configuration?pls help me.

If you can't shutdown a remote computer using instructions on the Microsoft.com website gordo gave you a link to, you may try to establish a connection to a remote computer using the "Remote desktop connection" (Start => Programs => Accessories => Connection => Remote desktop connection). If it doesn't work, I'd s***est that probably the best way would be to contact Microsoft support explaining your situation.
