First at all, "L33t" is for noobs. Second,if you have a legitimate question, just ask away. There is no need for your language and attitude, keep in mind that even tho our mods are good people, they bind by the forum rules.

What kind of hash do you need to crack with JTR?

If it's not standard DES, just download Cain and Abel from the Cain and Abel website instead of trying to use JTR. JTR may be faster, but C&A is MUCH more newbie-friendly.

EDIT: And like noz said, you don't have to use the expletives in your question.

    Talking jtr

jtr blows unless you are running a unix/linux based system. i say figure out what the issue is with c&a, it will be your best bet.
