Cracking into server (FTP) with just IP Address?

I have an IP Address to a Server, I just don't have the User/Password

I have the FTP program and IP Address for the server, what is the best method to get the User/Pass to log-in?

Well, you could try out a brute force program like Brutus, but if the password is too complex, it'll take a very long time. But it seems the only viable option.
