Does ProRat even work?

I've downloaded ProRat *.* SE, and I've tried it on myself and it still doesn't do anything. I'm connected to a router, wirelessly, with another PC on the network. I port forwarded 5**0 to my IP, and created the server, and when i opened the server, nothing happens, which is normal, but I still cannot connect to myself? It just says "Connecting..." and then "Disconnected"

disabled all firewalls, anti-virus software, everything, i just dont understand

go to shields up and do a port scan to make sure your port is open. http://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh*dkyd2
You do know the ports on the client computer is the one that needs to be forwarded, not the computer with the server installed?
