Proxy server doesn't work very good...

Hi!
I have a proxy server which works very good, but I wuold like to be really anonymous on the web.
So I put my proxy adress in Internet Explorer/connexion parameters.
Now when I try the test "proy server" on nettools.com It says that I have a proxy but can say my really adess too!!!
How can I be really anonymous? Do you know if there is a programm for that?

Thanks for your answer.

Depending on the browser you are using:
Disable the following

ActiveX
JAVA
JavaScript

In internet explorer parameters I have only these options:

-HTTP 66.*.*.* port 80
-Securisé 66.*.*.* 80
-FTP 66.*.*.* 80
-Gopher 66.*.*.* 80
-socks nothing

Are you using a programm to be really anonymous with only a proxy?
I wouldn't to use a prog which change your IP every second.

Hey FEVER, ive got a stoopid (not stupid, stppoid) question for you. Ive herd that you should diable JAVA and JAVA script. But why? What happens if we do this? Whats it supposed to do? I like to play games on www.miniclip.com. Will diabling JAVA keep me from playing these games? Let me know.

HI,

Will diabling JAVA keep me from playing these games? Let me know.
Unless it is a java game applet ,you can vey well disable java and still play the game.

Just look for the word 'applet' by typing view source of the html page. If you find it,it means that your game is using an applet and disiabling java will prevent the applet from loading on your screen thus preventing you to play the game.

Regards Data.

Cool

I know why your IP shows up! It's because some proxy servers send to web server your IP address as HTTP_X_FORWARED_FOR header and some servers/scripts on the server record it.

You can try to find some other proxies which do not forward this field. As for proxy server finder/switcher I use http://www.proxyswitcher.com and for anonimity check I use http://www.all-nettools.com/pr.htm

Hope it helps.
