..Im kinda new to the network tools and Im not sure what exactly this "Tracerout" does for me....What is it for?And what does it try to show me

tracert or traceroute essenstially show us the path through which the packets from the destination ip to our ip. It aslo gives us a few more details such as the time in milli seconds for the packet to travell from one point to another.
