Latest Sympa is v2.048. You can still use it to send fully anonymous Emails provided that the selected proxy can handle it..
A new [url=http://fever.resourcez.com]Link to SYMPA[/url] was setup up is sep 200*.
Please check the 'read_me.txt' included in SYMPA zip file.

Hello
Everything works ok until I go to the anonymous section and press send (after checking that anon was checked and tunnel proxy was working) ---and basically sending the same message that went out ok non-anon
Get a 500 not yet authenticated message

What am I doing wrong ?

Have been trying over and over but still getting the 500--not yet authenticated message when I try to go anonymous
Have entered password ,disconnected any proxies,have dns number entered ,checked that the proxy is working ,can mail non-anon ok but not anon
Have tried older versions as well as latest ,and have been able to do it ok in past on another machine
Any Idea what I am doing wrong?

If you are using Win*x, reboot your PC.
If you are using NT / W2K / XP, log out then log in again.
In all cases, if you are behind a firewall, make sure to give enough rights to SYMPA.

>Start SYMPA
>Enter this proxy in the field "Tunnel proxy details" *2545*20*0:*0*0 (best is copy & paste)

No Change
and tried it with another ISP as well
Firewall cleared Sympa and Brownsox
Will try again on another machine tomorrow and advise

Please keep me posted, and try to give me enough details to be able to reproduce the same error locally.
ALso need to know your OS

Hi
I had some free time (I wonder how though!), so I decided to Re-Write entirely the Tunnel Proxy Part of SYMPA.
Amongst other bug fixes I added a window showing all In and Out traffic during an ANONYMOUS SMTP connection.
I also added at the lower left corner [url=http://fever.resourcez.com/SYMPAsnap*.jpg]2 Checkboxes to enable/disable Incoming and Outgoing interception of DATA[/url].
I guess this way, any user would find it so easy when reading the Interception window in order to analyse errors, network congestions or simply to experiment and understand further the SMTP protocol which was the basic idea behind creating SYMPA.

You may download [url=http://fever.resourcez.com/SYMPA_2.050_Setup.exe]here[/url] version 2.050 for testing, it is a freeware.
It comes in a Installation wizard package.

I am happy that it worked fine for you.
I have updated today a simple bugfixing version v2.05*.
Try to get it, it's very stable and it loads back at every startup the entire previous profile.
Please use it for fun with friends but not to harm anyone.
