    Talking

Just wondering if anyone else here is
running ZA and if so are you getting
alerts often? Sometimes I will get a
dozen in an hour. I usually check to
see who it was and maybe "ping" them
but for the most part forget it knowing I blocked them.
But recently I have been getting alerts from within the domain in which
I have internet service. I'm not sure how to interpret the logs.

The firewall has blocked Internet access to your computer (DNS) from xx.54.xx.2*8 (UDP Port *05*).

I have read what ZA support says but
would be interesting to hear from others.
One other question while I'm here. How
many ports does a pc typically have?
    Thanks ,Chaoz

    ISP domain hits...

    Hello chaoz...
I run ZA Pro and in past started getting lots of hits from my OLD ISP domain. Some were UDP scans of sequential ports from ISP DNS IP, ISP POP server IP. I suspect these hits possibly were:

    *] Worm in ISP network.
2] Hacker in ISP network. (another ********)
*] Nosey ISP trying to hack my PC.

With my NEW ISP I no longer have this problem. If you find any more info on this hope you post it.

I think PC typically has 65,5*5 ports. If you want to scan yourself for open ports it will take awhile. This is why so many trojans on high ports go unnoticed.

    P.S.
ZoneAlarm Pro recently released an upgrade. You might wanna check it out.

    Bad ISPs?

    Hi Sharon,
If you can't change ISPs about all you can do is defend yourself- firewall, antivirus, sniffer, etc. Some would say your firewall is too sensitive. To me, translated, that means bury your head in the sand and ignore the problem.

Are you running BlackIce Defender and ZA Pro at the same time? If so, how do they work together?
